Enjoy learning Russian in small groups with a professional Russian language tutor. Do not worry if you miss a class – you will get the materials by email. Complimentary tea and coffee.
Course Organiser/Head Tutor: Dr Natalia Samoilova (PhD St Andrews)
Dr Samoilova has considerable experience of teaching Russian at all levels and has taught at the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews. She is a native speaker.
Tutor: Irina Safronova (MA Moscow State University, MCIL). Irina has taught Russian and English in Moscow, Strasbourg and Edinburgh and also worked as an interpreter/ translator for various international governmental and non-governmental organisations

In 2012-13 we will offer the following classes:
Russian for absolute beginners :: Learn a new alphabet and impress your friends by conversing in Russian. Textbook Ruslan 1. Tuesdays 6-7.30pm.
Intermediate Russian for learners with basic language skills :: Improve your communication skills and learn to speak Russian more confidently. Textbook Ruslan 2. Wednesdays 6-7.30pm
Upper Intermediate Russian :: Textbook Doroga v Rossiju, level 3, part 1. Thursdays 6-7.30pm
Advanced 1 Russian :: Achieve proficiency in communication skills, enrich your vocabulary and master difficult aspects of Russian grammar. Textbook Ruslan 3. Tuesdays 6-7.30pm. Not running in Term 2.
Advanced 2 Russian :: For students who have completed Advanced 1. Textbook Odna zhizn' - dve kul'tury, Moscow: Zlatoust, 2011. Wednesdays 6-7.30pm
Advanced Russian Discussion Group :: Maintain fluency and broaden your knowledge of the cultural, political and economic life of Russia. Starting Term 2, Thursdays 6-7.30pm
Classes run for 1hr 30mins once a week on a weekday evening. Fees to be paid termly in advance. See term dates for details. Cheques payable to The Scotland-Russia Forum.
