Course Organiser/Head Tutor: Dr Natalia Samoilova (PhD St Andrews)Dr Samoilova has considerable experience of teaching Russian at all levels and has taught at the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews. She is a native speaker.Tutor: Irina Safronova (MA Moscow State University, MCIL). Irina has taught Russian and English in Moscow, Strasbourg and Edinburgh and also worked as an interpreter/ translator for various international governmental and non-governmental organisations
Iulia, a Russian linguist and teacher based in St Petersburg, contacted us to offer SRF members and others free Russian lessons / conversation practice via Skype for a trial period.

Her professional experience includes translation and English language teaching. She is keen to help the work of the SRF, and to find out more about Scotland, its people and language. There will be a charge for lessons at some stage – but for the time being they will be free as Iulia gets to know what learners want.
