The SRF needs your help
The Scotland-Russia Forum is entirely dependent on its members for all its activities and services. The more help we get - the more we can do.If you think you can help with any of the tasks we list below (or any part of them) please don't hesitate to get in touch - don't wait to be asked.
Remember though - the SRF is an entirely voluntary charitable organisation. We can't pay you, but will cover agreed out of pocket expenses.
Where we most need help......
Running the Scotland-Russia Institute :: See The Scotland-Russia Institute. We need: receptionists, ideas for activities, help in the library, help setting up meetings and socials, washing up afterwards ... and any other help you can offer.Raising funds :: As we expand the range of our activities and particularly now that we have moved into premises of our own we need to start fundraising for the first time - to cover everything from equipment to running costs.
Events management :: Our programme is increasingly crowded, with a busy programme of excellent talks and exhibitions. If you would like to help organise either of these activities our Exhibitions Organiser (Peter France) and Events Organiser (Jenny Carr
Shop manager :: Contact us if you'd like to try your retail skills! We need someone to take full responsibility for the shop - stock, dealing with suppliers etc.
Publicity
Regional representatives :: If you live outside Edinburgh and would like to help us arrange events, recruit members and promote Russian culture in your area please get in touch. We already have representatives in Glasgow, Perth and Nairn/Inverness who would love to hear from others in their area.
Russian community liaison :: Someone to keep us in touch with the interests and activities of the increasing numbers of Russians and other Russian-speakers living in Scotland.
