Course Organiser/Head Tutor: Dr Natasha Samoilova (PhD St Andrews)
Dr Samoilova has considerable experience of teaching Russian at all levels and has taught at the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews. She is a native speaker.

Tutor:  Irina Safronova (MA Moscow State University, MCIL).  Irina has taught Russian and English in Moscow, Strasbourg and Edinburgh and also worked as an interpreter/ translator for various international governmental and non-governmental organisations.

Classes in 2022-2023

Reading Russian prose, online class for A2/B1+ students with Natasha Samoilova
This course is about understanding the original literary texts with their cultural references and about recognising stylistic registers in Russian. In Term 1 we will focus on Dovlatov's collection of stories "Чемодан" (The Suitcase), 1986
​Friday 4.00 -5.30 pm in Zoom, 9 weeks, first lesson on 21 April.
Fee: £45 for term 3 (9 classes) or free if you take any other SRF course or private lessons with Natasha.
