Course Organiser/Head Tutor: Dr Natasha Samoilova (PhD St Andrews)
Dr Samoilova has considerable experience of teaching Russian at all levels and has taught at the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews. She is a native speaker. |
Tutor: Irina Safronova (MA Moscow State University, MCIL). Irina has taught Russian and English in Moscow, Strasbourg and Edinburgh and also worked as an interpreter/ translator for various international governmental and non-governmental organisations.

Classes run for 1hr 30mins once a week on a weekday evening. Term 3 will run from April to June 2022.

Reading Russian Short Stories, online class for A2/B1+ students with Natasha Samoilova
Friday 4.00 -5.30 pm in Zoom, 8 weeks, first lesson on 29 April. Fee: £80 (free if you take any other SRF course).
This course is about understanding the original literary texts with their cultural references and about recognising stylistic registers in Russian. In Term 2 we will focus on the writers of the start of the 20th c.
Fees to be paid in the first week of the term, preferably by bank transfer.
