  • Volunteers needed! We are a voluntary organisation, growing all the time, and that means more and more work for volunteers. Get in touch and we can outline all the interesting (maybe career enhancing?) volunteer opportunities: please  email info@scotlandrussiaforum.org
  • MARCH/APRIL 2020
  • ***PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CAN SEE ON THE SRF WEBSITE PAGE "TALKS AND CONFERENCES" THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION***:
  • 1. We are inviting all SRF members to send in details of any Russian-related items, books, films etc that are being helpful/useful during these unprecedented times we are in. Our love of Russia and Russian culture unites us in these days and we would like to create a "shared space" on the website so that all SRF members can access such information and share their own. We would love to hear from you and publish on the webpage any suggestions you have. Please send these to the e-mail address above. Thank you!
  • 2. Our new initiative "Cultural Conversations" , due to start in March 2020, sadly had to be postponed due to the pandemic. However, we do hope that this series will run, once the time is right...Our speakers have very kindly agreed to provide short introductions to their planned talks and on the same page as noted above you will find a short summary of the talk which was due to mark both the start of this new SRF series and the Edwin Morgan Anniversary Year- SRF member Professor Peter France's talk "Edwin Morgan and Russian Culture". Dr Shamil' Khairov has also provided a short introduction to his new book and this will be added in the same place before the end of April. The aim is to post these summaries every 2 or 3 weeks.
  • The SRF Trustees hope that all SRF members and families are well in these difficult days we are experiencing and please do keep in touch with us!
  • Many thanks and all good wishes.
